Calumet: Carolyn Brouillette, 85, of Calumet, current resident of Canal View, passed away at UP Health System-Portage on January 1, 2020.
She was born on November 19, 1934, a daughter of James and Vera Lynn Adams. She attended Calumet High School and graduated in 1955.
She worked at the Calumet Movie Theatre and Calumet Electronics. She also worked as a baby-sitter and as a homemaker, raising her family.
She was married to Alfred Brouillette on November 26, 1955. He passed away on January 16, 2004.
Carolyn was a member of the Laurium United Methodist Church. She had been a member of the former Laurium VFW Post Auxiliary where she served as treasurer.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and husband, daughters-Cheryl and Vivian, a son-Glenn, grandson-Mark, step-mother-Elizabeth Adams, and brothers-John, Paul, William, and James Adams.
She is survived by: sons-Brian of Calumet and Freddy (Theresa) of Ishpeming; a sister-Lyn (Rick) Rolain of Ishpeming; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services. Burial will be at the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
