First Legal U.P. Recreational Marijuana Sale Made

The Upper Peninsula’s first recreational marijuana outlet made its first sales yesterday.

The Fire Station in Negaunee was an existing medical marijuana supplier. According to its Facebook site, the company received its recreational license last Tuesday.

A small supply of marijuana-based vape cartridges went on sale yesterday, in what the company called a “soft opening.”

A post on the Facebook site said they hope to increase their stock level and options quickly, but orders for inventory could not be placed until the license was approved.
