Gasoline prices held basically steady in the central Upper Peninsula last week.
AAA Michigan’s survey of the Marquette Metro showed the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.43. That’s a penny less than a week ago, 20 cents less than a month ago, and 29 cents less than a year ago. It’s also consistent with the state average.
As usual, Keweenaw County is the highest in the state, at $2.80 per gallon. Houghton County is above the regional average, at $2.50. Baraga County is the lowest in the state, at $2.39.
