Nickolas “NICK” JAMES SUPANICH, Sr, 79, formerly of L’Anse, MI., passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019, at home in Cincinnati, OH. He was born in L’Anse, MI on December 10, 1939, the son of the late Frank Sr. and Helen (Morin) Supanich. Nick attended school in L’Anse. On September 3, 1960 he married Delores M. “Dee” Duschaine. Dee preceded Nick in death on March 14, 2013. Nick had worked as a millwright/carpenter for the mining industry, He enjoyed watching sports and game shows, the outdoors, watching the animals, cribbage and going to the casino. Nick is survived by his daughters Sherry (Albert) Barsch, Tammy Gualdoni, and Maggie (Charles) Bellaire, grandchildren Alitta Barnett (James), Megan Luken (Max), and Emily Barsch, Ryan Gualdoni, and Bethanne Cadeau, great grandchildren Jaydin and Trevor, and soon to arrive Simon Barnett, Elayna and Maeve Luken, and brother Tony (Terry) Supanich of WI, sisters Marian Kreutzer of Illinois and Anne (James) Sullivan of Illinois. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra, son Nicholas, and brothers Martin, Frank, Ray, Bob and Paul, sisters Rosemary, Alice, and Ruth. To honor his wishes of no service, a private family burial will occur in Spring 2020.
