A group that supports the five national parks on Lake Superior has launched a new website.
The National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation has adopted the slogan “Five national parks. One superior lake.”
Executive Director Kim Schneider told us the goal is to provide financial assistance for the federal facilities on the lake – Isle Royale National Park, Keweenaw National Historical Park, and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan… the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin… and the Grand Portage National Monument in Minnesota.
Schneider said they have recently provided financial support for the effort to reestablish the wolf pack on Isle Royale, to counterbalance the growing moose population.
