Copper Queen Whiskey Supports Calumet Theatre

The makers of Copper Queen Whiskey have given $1,000 to the Calumet Theatre.

Italian immigrant Narisco Bianchi launched Copper Queen in 1914, describing it as a “high grade” blended whiskey. It – along with many alcoholic beverage brands – disappeared when Prohibition began.

Earlier this year, Iron Fish Distillery from the Thompsonville area brought it back, promising to donate a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold to the historic theatre.

Iron Fish partner Richard Anderson turned the first $1,000 check over to theatre Executive Director Marlin Lee on Friday.
