Canal View-Houghton County is the only Upper Peninsula facility included among the top nursing homes in Michigan compiled by Newsweek magazine.
Canal View finished 12th on the list of 23.
Administrator Kim Salmi said they are very proud of their staff, and grateful to the community for continued support.
The former Houghton County Medical Care Facility recently underwent a name change, along with a major renovation that changed the decor, upgraded rehab facilities, and built new dining areas that overlook the Portage Canal.
