Some State Budget Progress Reported

There’s been a little progress on the Michigan budget.

House Democrats and Republicans agreed on funding for K-12 education yesterday.

Details have not been released, but reports indicate it would add $30-million in special education funding. A

spokesperson for Governor Gretchen Whitmer called it “a move in the right direction… but far short of what our children deserve.”

The House is scheduled to vote on the K-12 education budget today.
