Governor Rick Snyder has been lauded by many for his proposal to spend an additional 254 million dollars on transportation as part of his budget recommendation for 2015-2016. But townships in Michigan are not happy. The Michigan Townships Association says the governor left local roads out of the mix. The MTA says some of the budget surplus should be put into local roads, and further, there should be an improved plan to permanently fund both local and other roads and bridges.
