M-26 Construction at Eagle River to Begin

Drivers on M-26 in the Eagle River area can expect lane closures and brief delays beginning today.

Work on the bridge over the Eagle River is scheduled to last until October 10th. One lane of traffic will remain open, regulated by temporary traffic signals. Work on the bridge will include painting, patching, new asphalt, and rebuilt approaches and guardrails.

A sister project to repair the adjacent Eagle River pedestrian bridge began earlier this summer. The two projects will cost about 2.2-million dollars.
