Markkanen Photo Contest Winners Announced

Three Copper Country residents will have pictures they took added to State Representative Greg Markkanen’s office wall in Lansing, after they were named winners in his summer photo contest.

The champions include Ann Pihlija of Mass City, for a photo of the Old Wainola Church in Ontonagon County; Mary Kaminski of Houghton, for a picture of the Houghton-Hancock Bridge; and Gary Wadaga of Baraga, for a sunset photo taken at Lake Ruth. See the photos below.

Markkanen thanked all those who submitted, and promised another photo contest soon.
