A meeting room in the Hancock Public Library is about to receive a dramatic update. A grant from the Hancock Public Schools Foundation will turn the room into a media lab that can be used by students, teachers, and library patrons.
Phase one of the project will install a large flat-screen television, green-screen photography equipment, a lighting kit, and a digital camcorder. Library Director Dillon Geschel anticipates that subsequent investments will include a 3-D printer, new furniture, and a memory lab that patrons can use to digitize photos and videotapes.
Teachers from the Hancock Public Schools worked together with library staff to apply for the funding.
