Public Comments Being Accepted For City of Houghton Master Plan

The City of Houghton draft Master Plan for 2018-2023 is available for public comment at: www.cityofhoughton.com/info-plans.php

The City will accept public comments until Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

Written comments can be emailed to City Manager Eric Waara at citymanager@cityofhoughton.com, or mailed to: City of Houghton, P.O. Box 606, Houghton, MI 4993.

A public hearing of the Planning Commission to receive public comments on this plan will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the  City Center Council Chambers, 616 Shelden Avenue, Houghton, MI 49931.

Questions can be directed to the City Manager or Clerk at 482-1700.

The City of Houghton also has a vacancy for a city resident to serve on the Planning Commission to fill an unexpired term.

The commission meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
