A Louisiana man is seriously injured after a motorcycle accident in Keweenaw County Saturday.
Deputies from the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident on M-26 near the Silver River Loop in Eagle Harbor Township around 3:30pm.
A 72 year old man was driving his Ducati motorcycle northbound and lost control while rounding a corner and ran off the roadway.
The vehicle struck an embankment and the driver was ejected from the motorcycle.
The driver was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw hospital by Mercy Ambulance before being flown to Green Bay, Wisconsin for treatment.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Eagle Harbor Township Fire and Medical 1st Responder units.
Speed and alcohol are not considered to be factors in this accident which is still under investigation by the Sheriffs Office.
