A third arrest has been made in connection with a drug bust in Mohawk earlier this week.
On Tuesday, two people were arrested. A spokesman for the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team said the raid on the Cliff Street residence netted more than $6,900 in cash, along with a quarter pound of cocaine, with a value of at least $20,000.
The third suspect was arrested Wednesday, and is identified as a Laurium man. He’s being held in the Houghton County jail. His identity will be released following his arraignment.
UPSET detectives also arrested a 33-year-old Escanaba woman Wednesday on charges related to distribution of crystal meth.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home on South 9th Street in the city, and seized a small amount of crystal meth, evidence of drug distribution, and nearly $7,000 in cash.
She’s being held in the Delta County jail. Her identity is also being held until arraignment.
