Hockey Is Life Scholarships Awarded

Three local students are getting help with their college tuition through the 2019 Hockey is Life Scholarship Award.

The scholarships are presented by the Copper Country Oldtimers and will go to Johnathan Mantila from Baraga High School to attend Gogebic Community College, Cassidy Becia from Houghton High School to attend Finlandia University, and Kellen Klein from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School to attend Northern Michigan University.

Each award is for $500 to assist with first year costs at their chosen institution.
