The oldest hockey cup in North America is on its way to Houghton this weekend. The Stanley Cup will be present this Friday when the MTU hockey team face off against the University of Michigan. Fans with a ticket to Friday or Saturday’s game will have a chance to see the NHL’s championship trophy. Public viewings on Friday will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m., 3-5 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to the start of the game under suites in front of John and Venus Wall of Fame. The trophy exhibit will be open at the two intermissions and for an hour after the game ends. After 6 p.m. on Friday only game tickets for Friday night will be accepted. The Hart Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy, MacNaughton Cup and Gibson Cup will also be available for viewing as well.
