Tigers Drop Sixth Straight – Sunday Sports Wrap

The Detroit Tigers lost their sixth straight game yesterday, 4-1 to the Oakland Athletics. Detroit collected just five hits, and only one for extra bases – a fourth-inning double by Ronny Rodriguez, who later scored on a wild pitch. Matthew Boyd pitched into the seventh inning, and gave up all four Oakland runs.

The Tigers will host the Athletics again this afternoon. Gregory Soto will start against Mike Fiers. Pregame coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Freddie Freeman’s home run off Josh Hader in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday. Milwaukee forced the extra frame when Lorenzo Cain doubles home Keston Hiura on the top of the ninth to tie the game.

The Brewers visit the Braves again this afternoon. Brandon Woodruff will pitch against Mike Foltynewicz.

NHL

In the NHL playoffs tonight, the Saint Louis Blues visit the San Jose Sharks. The Western Conference final is tied at two wins per team.

NBA

In NBA playoff action, the Golden State Warriors took command of the Western Conference final with a 110-99 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Golden State leads that series 3-0.

Tonight, the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee leads the Eastern Conference final 2-0.
