Painesdale Man Facing Meth Charges

A Houghton County man is facing charges for delivering meth.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested a 34-year-old Painesdale man on Monday following a six-month long investigation.

The suspect was arrested during a traffic stop near Twin Lakes. During the traffic stop approximately 8 grams of meth was seized. 

The suspect was lodged at the Houghton County Jail for delivery of meth and possession with intent to distribute meth. 

The investigation is ongoing with additional charges and arrests are pending.  The suspect will be arraigned in 97th District Court. 

UPSET was assisted by the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department and Houghton City Police.
