A fundraising campaign is underway for the 3rd season of an Upper Peninsula-based web series set in post-apocalyptic times.
Co-produced by Lullskull Limited and “A” Street Films, Northbound has had two successful seasons and is ready to embark on their third and final season.
Co-creator and Iron Mountain native Seth Anderson says the crew is ready to work toward the big finish of the series. “What we’re doing right now is raising funds for it right in the short term and we’re raising funds until May 18th on Kickstarter. It’s called the Light It Up campaign and that’s a crowdfunding campaign. Anybody coming in here can pledge at multiple levels and help us really, really get into production this summer,” said Anderson.
The three seasons of Northbound are intended to serve as a prequel for a full-length feature film called Northstar.
Producer Jason Hagen says the series is helping to build the world around Northstar and an audience eager for the release of the film. “We will use the series to sell it to potential co-production companies, film financiers, investors. We will sell the series to them in order to gain funding to make the feature,” said Hagen.
The first two seasons of Northbound can be viewed for free on Seeka TV.
