Earl F. Anderson, 93, a resident of Portage Entry, Chassell, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.
He was born October 25, 1925, in Detroit, a son of the late Yalmer and Mary (Raasio) Anderson.
Earl worked as an auto service repairman.
He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea from 1946-47.
Earl is survived by a son, David Anderson; a daughter, Jennifer (Anderson) Deckard both of McKinleyville, California; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Jacobs of Livonia; a brother, Carl (Dorothy) Anderson of Corona, Calif; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Earl was also preceded in death by three sisters, May, Ruth and Lorraine; and two brothers, Clarence and Leroy.
To honor Earl’s wishes, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the spring at the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
