Additions to Houghton Water Policy

With the winter season just around the corner, the Houghton City Council decided to make some additions to their water policy. The amendments include policies for let-runs and frozen pipes, as well as catastrophic water events. City Manager Eric Waara says it was important to get everything written down and made officially part of the city’s ordinances.

A public hearing is scheduled for the proposed changes at the next city council meeting on October 22nd.
