Armchair Gardening at the Portage Lake District Library

The Keweenaw Garden Club will host the special event, Armchair Gardening: Lightning Talks and Social at the Portage Lake District Library on Monday, January 21 at 6:30pm.

This is the time of year when many gardeners engage in armchair gardening, which entails curling up with a cup of tea and a stack of seed/plant catalogues to plan a spectacular display (or assortment) for the upcoming growing season. To inspire your armchair gardening this winter, several knowledgeable presenters will give lightning-fast, 5-minute talks on great gardening or garden design ideas. Afterwards, stay and chat with guest presenters and fellow gardening enthusiasts.

The Keweenaw Garden Club was established by and for gardening enthusiasts. They have presentations at the Portage Lake District Library on the third Monday of each month September through May. Those who are interested in learning more about the club can visit https://sites.google.com/site/keweenawgardenclub/ and contact them by email at keweenaw.gardenclub@gmail.com

All library events are free and everyone is welcome. For more information on the program, please call the library at 906-482-4570.
