Two Field Of Interest Grants Available Through Keweenaw Community Foundation

The Keweenaw Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual granting cycle for two different Field of Interest grants.

More than $2,800 is available from the Portage Lake Youth Endowment Fund for local organizations supporting programs and activities that are designed to serve youth of the Portage Lake area.

This geographical region includes, Chassell, Dollar Bay, Hancock, Houghton, and South Range.

Over $1,000 is available from the Houghton County Historical Preservation Endowment Fund for local historical preservation and education projects or activities related to the Houghton County of Michigan.

To be considered, grant applications must be submitted to the KCF office no later than 4PM on January 3rd, 2019. Grant award recipients will be announced by January 22nd, 2019.

Applications are available on KCF’s website HERE or by clicking the direct links below. Grants will be made to organizations or for programs previously demonstrating successful outcomes or to new, innovative organizations or programs with clear potential for positive outcomes. Grants must be used to support the three different endowments, respectively, throughout the Houghton and Keweenaw Counties.
