High School
In high school hockey last night, Houghton opened its season with a 3-0 win over Marquette.

Finlandia
The Finlandia baseball team has added two new recruits. Joshua Merced is an outfielder from Miramar, Florida. Gabrielle Voisin is an infielder from Jonesville, Michigan.

NMU
The Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team opened the Hillsdale College Thanksgiving Classic with an 89-64 victory over Ohio Dominican University last night. The Wildcats will face Hillsdale this afternoon.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings return to action tonight, when they host the Boston Bruins. Pregame coverage begins at 7:10 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons visit the Houston Rockets tonight.

NFL
The Detroit Lions will host the Chicago Bears in their annual Thanksgiving Day game tomorrow at 12:30. Running back Kerryon Johnson remains questionable for Detroit, with a sprained knee. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is questionable for the Bears, after injuring his throwing shoulder in last week’s game. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift. Dallas hosts Washington at 4:30, and New Orleans entertains Atlanta tomorrow evening. Former Green Bay Packers safety LeRoy Butler is one of 25 semifinalists for this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame class. It’s his second time on the modern-era ballot. This year’s honorees will be announced in February.
