The Portage Health Foundation will match up to $100,000 in #GivingTuesday Campaign

[Hancock, MI] The Portage Health Foundation (PHF) is once again participating in the worldwide day of giving — #GivingTuesday—with 100% of donations submitted to them going straight back to the identified non-profits. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Occurring this year on November 27, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

“We are thrilled to once again be participating in the #GivingTuesday event,” said PHF’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator Chelsea Goodreau. “It was amazing to see how the community really rallied behind this initiative and showed incredible support for the non-profits in the four-county community. Every non-profit is doing important work and it touches the lives of the community in some way which is why we encourage folks to Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is.”

Last year, the community raised over $50,000 which in turn gave over $100,000 back to the eleven (11) non-profits located in the four-county community. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. PHF’s fundraising efforts are encouraging individuals to Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is.

PHF will match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 in total donations back to the non-profits identified on their website.

Details to donate:
PHF encourages folks to wait for November 27th to donate but will accept anything that comes in prior to the date.
PHF will not match donations received after November 27th.
Donations have to come through the PHF office in order to be eligible for the match. This can be done through the online donation form and identifying the non-profit of your choice in the comments or sending in cash or check with the identified non-profit.

One hundred percent of all monies donated will be passed on to the appropriate organization!

“I am so excited to have a chance to give back to our non-profit community,” said Kevin Store, Executive Director of the Portage Health Foundation. “We’ve said time and time again that we can serve as an ambassador for those organizations and people who are working hard to make this a better, safer community. We’re putting our money where the community’s Heart is…we hope everyone will join us this holiday season!”
