Michigan voters will decide three statewide ballot proposals this November 6th.
The three ballot proposals address recreational marijuana use, the formation of an independent legislative redistricting commission and revisions to state voting laws Local residents have two choices to learn more about those proposals at a pair of forums this evening.
The MSU Extension service will live stream a forum being held in Lansing at the Michigan Tech Forestry Building at 6. A host will help participants submit questions to the panel of experts. The forum can also be accessed online using Zoom or through the MSU Extension’s Facebook page. A link to both will be available on the MSU Extension website.
The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country will also host a presentation tonight at 6:30 at the Portage Lake District Library. This program will cover what the proposals are, the specific ballot language, and positions from supporting and opposing sides.
There is no cost to attend either event.
