If you live in Michigan and are not happy, a study says you’re not alone. Michigan is the nation’s 43rd happiest state overall, according to the study from Wallethub.com. It based the study on 26 key metrics, ranging from emotional health to income levels to sports participation rates. Michigan ranked 40th in ’emotional and physical well-being,’ 30th in work satisfaction and 39th in ‘community, environment and recreational activities.’ Looking at adjacent states, Ohio was 44th and Illinois was 42nd. However Wisconsin is apparently much happier, at 22nd. The research says Utah is the happiest state. And West Virginia is the unhappiest.
