LAURIUM, Mich. – Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Clinics proudly welcomes Certified Physician Assistant, and Houghton native, Richie Raffaelli, PA-C to its growing team of family medicine providers. Raffaelli uses a holistic, patient-centered care approach that takes into account the whole person, rather than individual parts, to help people of all ages reach optimal health and wellness. He is now accepting new patients at Aspirus Laurium Clinic in Laurium.
Raffaelli is a 1994 graduate of Houghton High School. He earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from Red Rocks Community College. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Professional certifications include the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support. Professional associations include the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Prior to Aspirus, Raffaelli worked as a radiological technologist at UP Health System – Portage for 10 years.
A top priority for Raffaelli is being there for his patients when they need him most and providing them with the tools they need to make the most informed health decisions for the best outcomes.
“Promoting healthy living and a healthy lifestyle goes a long way in helping to solve many of the problems people are facing today,” he said. “By treating patients in a holistic manner, and not just individual parts, we are better able to deliver the highest levels of care they deserve.”
What Raffaelli said he is most excited about joining Aspirus is, “Helping the local community that I grew up in and continuing to provide quality healthcare to this underserved population.”
