Drive-By Shooting Suspects Interviewed By Police

Three people have been interviewed in connection with a reported drive-by shooting in Ishpeming.

The incident happened on Iron Street around 10pm Tuesday.  Police responded to a report of gun shots and discovered that a drive by shooting had occurred at that residence.  No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled the scene in a Buick that was later located abandoned by officers.  A search of the area was conducted by the Ishpeming Police Department with assistance from the Michigan State Police and the Marquette County Sherriff’s Office. Several houses within the city were searched.

The suspects, 24–year–old Brandon Lee Schiefel of Ishpeming, 29–year–old Michael Paul Fletcher Jr of Marquette and 26–year–old Alicia Anne Kerkela of Ishpeming, were located last night and interviewed by police.

No arrests were made at this time and the investigation remains open.
