Walking To Prevent Suicide

The Warrior Walk is a walk for suicide prevention and awareness in memory of loved ones lost, in support of those who struggle, and for loved ones left behind.

It’s called a Warrior Walk because each day can be a struggle where people must fight like warriors.

To show that people do not need to struggle alone, Baraga County Suicide Prevention is participating in the walk hosted by Baraga County Communities That Care on Saturday, September 8th in L’Anse.

100 percent of the proceeds and donations will stay in Baraga County and will be used towards local prevention and awareness programs.

The walk will be held at the L’Anse Waterfront Park at 11 a.m. with guest speaker Rebecca Tervo at 10 a.m.
