The deadline to register all animals and club exhibits for the Houghton County Fair is Wednesday, August 15th.
Residents of Houghton and Keweenaw Counties over 7 years old by the end of the year are eligible to enter exhibits into the fair.
Open livestock are welcome from Baraga and Ontonagon Counties as well, and the horse shows are open to all.
The deadline for open youth and adult still exhibits, as well as motorized events to avoid a late fee, is Friday, August 17th.
Motorcross Exhibitors can register before the show on Thursday, August 23rd in the Exhibit Building.
The fair office will be open next week from 10am to 3pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday–9am to 7pm Wednesday–and 9am to 6pm Friday.
Exhibitor Guides are available at the fair office, MSU Extension Office, the Visitor Centers in Houghton and Calumet, Superior National Bank, the Bookworm, and Northwoods Sporting Goods, or register online at houghtoncountyfair.com by going to the Exhibitor’s tab.
Advanced admission ticket outlets are: Superior National Bank branches in Houghton County, Swift’s True Value Hardware and the Bookwork in Houghton, and Northwoods Sporting Goods in Hancock.
The Skerbeck Carnival Ride MEGABANDS are available at skerbeck.com for $50, or at the fair office with case or check only. MEGABANDS allow you to ride for all four days of the fair with the exception of the new extreme ride, Top Gun, which will have an upcharge to wristband prices.
