One man is being held on drug charges in the Houghton County Jail after another bust by detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
The 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday at a residence in Houghton by UPSET, along with officers from the Houghton City Police Department, the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
The officers executed a search warrant at the residence and found cash and drugs.
The search was a result of a two-month investigation involving a conspiracy to deliver crack cocaine and prescription morphine pills to Houghton County.
The suspect was lodged in the Houghton County Jail on charges of Delivery of Crack Cocaine and Delivery of Morphine.
His name has not been released pending arraignment in 97th District Court.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
