ONTONAGON, Mich. (April 20, 2018)—Winter might still be holding on in some parts of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, but the members of the Porcupine Mountains Convention & Visitors Bureau (PMCVB) are encouraging visitors to think spring and “feel the rush” in the Porcupine Mountains and Ontonagon County.

The PMCVB this week launched the Feel the Rush in the Porcupine Mountains Sweepstakes, which encourages visitors to explore all the area has to offer this spring, especially the numerous waterfalls that can be found throughout the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and throughout Ontonagon County.

The sweepstakes, which runs through May 25, will award one grand-prize winner with a $200 credit toward a two-night or longer stay at a local lodging property, admission to the state park and a copy of photographer Phil Stagg’s “Waterfalls of Michigan” guidebook that covers the area.

To enter, fans can visit the PMCVB’s website, www.porcupinemountains.com, and click on the sweepstakes link.

There are dozens of waterfalls to explore in the Porcupine Mountains and Ontonagon County, including well-known roadside stops like Bond Falls and Agate Falls, the trio of falls along the Presque Isle River and secluded falls that can be found in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. Visitors can find more information about area waterfalls on the PMCVB website.
