US-41 Detour Announced

Drivers using US-41 in Keweenaw County will need to detour for some construction work over the next few days. The Michigan Department of Transportation will be installing culverts near the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. The highway will be closed between 7:00 and 4:00 tomorrow and Wednesday this week, and Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Traffic will be rerouted along M-26 from Copper Harbor to Phoenix. The detour typically adds about 14 minutes to the drive time from Phoenix to Copper Harbor.
