Calumet: Jerome William Plute, age 57, passed away at his home on February 11, 2018.
He was born July 29, 1960 in Laurium, a son of the late Leo and Alberta (Baril) Plute. Jerry loved to travel, go fishing, picking agates, precious stones. He could smell copper and silver a mile away–what a true hound! He had so many good friends that made him happy, we will miss him very much.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leo and Alberta Plute, and his brother, Albert Plute, and several aunts and uncles. Surviving are sisters Katie (Bruce) Pykkonen of Lake Linden, Theresa (Randy) Rothenberger of Racine, Wisconsin; brother Edward Plute of Ketchikan, Alaska, niece Kelly Rothenberger, several cousins and his beloved dog Liz.
Jerry’s wish was to have no funeral. Ryan Funeral Home is serving the family.
