Baraga Teachers Agree To Contract

Baraga Schools LogoTeachers in the Baraga Area School District have a new contract. After working without a deal last school year, the Board of Education and the teachers’ union have both ratified the new two-year agreement. Superintendent Jennifer Lynn says the contract includes a unified salary scale… LYNN. The consolidation means that some teachers will get pay increases this year. Some will not, but Lynn says none will see salary cuts. All teachers will get a 492-dollar increase for the next school year. The contract also extends each teaching day by 14 minutes.
