Gas Prices Rise

Gas PumpGas prices are up in Michigan this week.

AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average is just over $3.58 per gallon, up 8 cents from last week and about 15 cents less than this same time last year. Of the cities surveyed by AAA Michigan, the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Traverse City area, where it’s about $3.47 a gallon. The highest average is in the Saginaw-Bay City-Midland area at about $3.62 a gallon. Triple-A surveys 28-hundred Michigan gas stations per day.

Among Michigan’s major metropolitan areas, three-dollars-56-point-six cents in Metro Detroit, three-dollars-47-point-seven cents in Traverse City, three-dollars-55-point-five cents in Benton Harbor, three-dollars-59-point-five cents in Ann Arbor, three-dollars-61 cents in Grand Rapids/Muskegon/Holland and in Jackson, three-dollars-62-point-two in Saginaw/Bay City/Midland, three-dollars-59-point-seven cents in Lansing/East Lansing, three-dollars-61-point-eight cents in Flint, and three dollars-58-point-two cents in Marquette.
