In yesterday’s NFL games, the Pittsburgh Steelers routed the Houston Texans 34-6, and the Philadelphia Eagles scored nine points in the final 22 seconds to defeat the Oakland Raiders 19-10. Jake Elliott’s 48-yard field goal snapped the tie, and Derek Barnett’s 23-yard fumble return for a touchdown on the game’s final play sealed the win. The victory earned the top NFL playoff seed for the Eagles.

Luminaria Ski
You can enjoy some beautiful candle-lit cross country skiing tonight at the Maasto Hihto Trail. The Luminaria Ski is a family event, with one and two-mile courses set up. Snowshoers and snow bikers are also welcome. Meet at the Chalet at the Fairgrounds beginning at 6:00, and return there for light refreshments afterward.
Our high school hockey coverage continues tomorrow, with the opening games of the MacInnes Holiday Tournament. Houghton faces Howell at 6:00, and Hancock takes on Calumet at 8:00. Our pregame broadcast will begin at 5:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com. We will air the consolation and championship matches on Thursday.
