The Copper Country Community Arts Center in Hancock is hosting its 41st annual Poor Artists Sale on Saturday.
Center Director Cynthia Cote says this year’s sale will offer the work of more than 50 artists.
“We have a lot of really wonderful potters and we have rustic furniture, a lot of really great jewelry so there’s a nice selection of jewelry, there’s carpets and baskets and blown glass and just really wonderful functional items, body care products. There’s a lot of really nice stuff—wooden clocks and things you won’t find just anywhere,” said Cote.
Besides being a great place to buy art, the 41st annual Poor Artists Sale is also a fun event for the holiday season.
Cote said, “It’s very festive and people come out to meet each other and renew their membership in the arts council and shop the wonderful booths.”
Guests are also invited to enjoy the homemade treats at the hospitality table.
The event will be held at the CLK Gymnasium in Calumet from 11am to 4pm.
