Hancock, Michigan – The Portage Lake Youth Endowment Advisory Committee of the Keweenaw Community Foundation (KCF) is now accepting applications for its annual granting cycle. $2,789.93 is available from the Portage Lake Youth Endowment Fund for local organizations supporting programs and activities that are designed to serve youth of the Portage Lake area. This geographical region includes, Chassell, Dollar Bay, Hancock, Houghton, and South Range. To be considered, grant applications must be submitted to the KCF office no later than noon on December 4th, 2017. Grant award recipients will be announced by December 21st, 2017.
Applications are available on KCF’s website athttp://keweenawcommunityfoundation.org/grants-scholarships/field-interest-grants/. Grants will be made to organizations or for programs previously demonstrating successful outcomes or to new, innovative organizations or programs with clear potential for positive outcomes. Grants must be used to support programs and activities that are designed to serve youth of the Portage Lake area (Chassell, Dollar Bay, Hancock, Houghton, and South Range).
KCF welcomes partnerships in the Foundation and urges interested parties to share this information with their constituents and all sub-groups within their organization. Tax deductible contributions may be made to the Portage Lake Youth Endowment Fund (or to any of KCF’s 80+ other funds) online atwww.keweenawgives.org. All contributions to a permanent endowment of KCF qualify for a Federal Tax Credit.
