KENTON, Mich. (OCTOBER 17, 2017) – The Ottawa National Forest is pleased to once again host the Sports Car Club of America Road Rally Recreational Event on the Kenton Ranger District. The Lake Superior Performance Rally begins Friday evening, October 20. Please be aware that we have issued an official road closure on the Ottawa National Forest to accommodate this activity.
Authorization has been granted to the Sports Car Club of America from October 20, 2017 at 3:30 PM (EST) through October 21, 2017 at 12:00 AM to prohibit being physically in person on or using a motorized vehicle on the rally stages. Roads and stage descriptions are available on the Ottawa National Forest website, as well as at the Kenton and Ontonagon District Offices. Your cooperation on road closure areas is appreciated.
Three authorized spectator viewing point locations are designated. They are at the intersections of Forest Roads 4500 and 4580, at the intersection of Forest Roads 3610 and 3616, and at the intersection of Forest Roads 2210 and 1300.
