Joseph Mullin

Joseph Mullin, 94, a former resident of Rice Lake, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Lighthouse of Hubbell.
He was born on January 23, 1923, in Laurium, to John and Theresa (Locatelli) Mullin.
Joseph attended Sacred Heart High School and graduated with the Class of 1941.
After high school, Joseph enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in World War II from 1941 to 1945. After being honorably discharged he began working on ships, both in the Ocean and in Lake Superior.
Once retiring from the shipping industry, Joseph began working for Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee for over 25 years.  After retiring he and his family moved to their home on Rice Lake.
On September 29, 1954, he married Eleanor Thurner.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa Mullin, his sisters, Theresa, Anna, Mary, and Peggy, his brothers, Fran and Tommy, and his wife, Eleanor Mullin.
He is survived by:

His daughter: Darlene Filter of Rice Lake
His sister: Cecilia of Newberry
8 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Father Corbin Eddy to officiate.
Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Burial with honors will be at Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
