Cleveland-Cliffs Takes Sole Ownership at Tilden

Cleveland-Cliffs is now the sole owner of the Tilden Mine in Ishpeming. The company has bought out the 15 percent ownership stake previously held by U.S. Steel. Cleveland-Cliffs Chairman Lourenco Goncalves said the ownership change will have little effect on the mine’s 900 employees. Cleveland-Cliffs has managed the mine since 1974.
