The end of the road for the Lakeshore Drive reconstruction project is in sight.
The Houghton City Council was given an update on the project at their regular meeting Wednesday by Chris Holmes from U.P. Engineers and Architects.
Poor weather conditions have caused significant delays but paving work is expected to begin Thursday and be done by the weekend, weather permitting.
All of the intersections will be blocked off from Shelden Avenue while the final stage is completed.
Temporary lighting will be installed until the new permanent fixtures arrive.
