Range Lions Take Part In Highway Cleanup

The Range Lions Club is doing their part to keep the Copper Country clean.

They held their regular monthly meeting on Monday at the Range Lounge in South Range, where they discussed their effort to pick up litter along M-26 from South Range to Painesdale as part of Phase III of the Michigan State Highway’s “Adopt a Highway Project.”

A total of 21 bags of litter were collected.

The Range Lions also donated $200 each to the local chapter of the Salvation Army and to the Bay Cliff Health Camp.

They donated $100 to the Grace Lutheran Church After School Program and another $100 to the Ranger Post 6165 VFW as a Memorial gift in honor of past Range Lions Club member John Pastore.

$300 was donated to the Simple Kindness for Youth program and $500 was donated to the Adams Township Schools Foundation Fund for their Trades program.
