Michigan is losing seven million dollars a day, according to senate Democrats, the result of Republicans voting to delay the implementation of Medicaid expansion until mid-March. Republican Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville doesn’t agree. He says that instead of talking about the celebration of more people getting benefits and about reduced lines at emergency rooms, we have to wait ten weeks for the program to hit. He added that what we have is a delay in those benefits being rewarded and it may have to do with politicians looking for attention in an election year. Senate Democrats have set up a website detailing the money being wasted by the delay at 7milliondollardays.com.
