Houghton: Edith W. Matthews, 91, resident of the Bluffs in Houghton, passed away at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility on August 9, 2017, with her 2 daughters by her side.
She was born on April 3, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH. She was married to Roy D. Matthews for 67 years.
She is survived by: 2 daughters-Sylvia (Joel Tepsa) Matthews of Chassell and Ellen (Paul) Sullivan of Dublin, Ireland; a son-Roy D. “Doug” (Cathy) Matthews of Cincinnati, OH; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister-Patsy Kenworthy of Farmington Hills, MI.
The O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
