That set wraps at Tampa this afternoon. David Price will start against Alex Cobb. Hear the first pitch at 1:10 on FM 99.3 and AM 1400, WCCY.

The Royals lost, so Detroit trails Kansas City by one game in the American League Central Division.

Justin Verlander says he expects to start in his normal rotation turn at Minnesota Saturday, although it hasn’t been decided which of the two games he would pitch in. Verlander threw again yesterday, and said his inflamed shoulder felt good. Buck Farmer will be called up from Toledo to start the other game on Saturday. After pitching most of this season in Single-A and Double-A, Farmer made a spot start for Detroit last week. His debut with the Mud Hens Monday was somewhat less than successful – he gave up eight runs, and recorded just one out before leaving in the first inning.

The Brewers have today off, and host the Pirates tomorrow night. Yovani Gallardo will start against Jeff Locke.

Saint Louis won, so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central Division is now a game-and-a-half.
