ThermoAnalytics Heating Up Following Paris Air Show

ThermoAnalytics is heating up. Literally.

The software and engineering services company is celebrating their 21st birthday.

President Keith Johnson said ThermoAnalytics branched off of Michigan Tech’s Keweenaw Research Center to be its own private enterprise in 1996.

“We create the software for any thermal management use, predominantly automotive, defense, aerospace, architecture and other things that have heat problems, or cold problems. So, anything temperature wise,” said ThermoAnalytics President Keith Johnson.

“One of the things that really help us is we’ve got some outstanding employees. We don’t have big machinery — we have computers and employees. So, that’s our asset, that’s our capital asset.”

Johnson and his employees can also celebrate networking opportunities that came from the Paris Air Show, held in mid-June on odd-numbered years.

ThermoAnalytics was invited along with nine other Michigan companies to attend.

Johnson said “The show is phenomenal. I mean, it is my first time there, my first time to Paris. I couldn’t believe it. It’s so big, it has so many customers, there’s so much potential business wise and I was part of a contingency of Michigan Delegation, so, I’m really fortunate to be able to go.”

2017 happens to be a growth year for ThermoAnalytics after several years of being what Johnson describes as “static,” or not growing.

“We just received our biggest purchase order ever yet and that was from a domestic car company, too. Things are looking good for us. Very fortunate that I’m able to say that after kind of a stressful last couple of years. We made it through and we’re now shining,” said Johnson.
